Proofs of Christ's Resurrection Acts 1:2-7 (Part Two)

New Bible Study For November 2025

III. Our Personal Preparation:

A. The wrong concept:

a. “People said t Him, “Even if all are made to stumble, yet I will not be.” Mark 14:29

b. “But he spoke more vehemently, ‘If I have to die with You, I will not deny You!...’” Luke 14:31a Yet he did deny Christ, and lied and cursed.

B. God doesn’t want DEAD people!

a. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” Psalm 116:15

The death of His people is precious to Him. Precious-Of great value or high price. They are not only cherished and precious to the Lord, but He has invested, trained, and needs them to fulfill the call on their lives, therefore, their deaths are costly to His kingdom. Who will fill the void their deaths will cause?

C. The Right Concept:

They are to have a vision

a. “Where there is no revelation (prophetic vision), the people cast off restraint; but happy is he who keeps the law.” Proverbs 29:18

b. “And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him saying, ‘Come over to Macedonia and help us.’” Acts 16:9

D. Paul went to Europe

a. Desire- “…All men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” 1 Timothy 2:4

b. “But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing mean, but God who ______________________our hearts.” 1 Thessalonians 2:4

c. “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the _________________of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:4-5

d. “Now the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision, ‘do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent’ for I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you; for I have many people in the city.’” Acts 18:9-10

E. Peter to Cornelius’s house

a. “The next day, ads they went on their journey and drew near the city, Peter went up on the housetop to pray, about the sixth hour. Then he became very hungry and wanted to eat; but while they made ready, he fell into a _______________...” Acts 10:9-10 (Ref: Acts 10:1-8)

b. “But Peter said, ‘Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean.’ And a voice spoke to him again the second time, ‘What God has cleansed you must not call common.’” Acts 10:14-15 (Ref: Acts 10:11-13)

F. Vison-Offered opportunity for Action:

Occurred-While in prayer in Joppa, He did not remain in prayer there. Seclusion in prayer was not sufficient; men of another nationality awaited him.

a. “While Peter thought about the vision, the Spirit said to him, ‘Behold, three men are seeking you. Arise therefore, go down and go with them, doubting ___________________; for I have sent them.’” Acts 10:19-20

b. “Then he said to them, ‘You know who unlawful it is for a Jewish man to keep company with or go to one of another nation. But God has _______________ me that I should not call any man common or unclean.’” Acts 10:28

c. “Then Peter opened his mouth and said: ‘In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works ______________________ is accepted by Him.’” Acts 10:34 Peter became color blind. Race, color, language, side of town, are of no consequence!

d. “And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, as upon us at the beginning. Then I remembered the world of the lord, how He said, ‘John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’ If therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could _________________ God? Acts 11:15-17

IV. The Cost

A. Paul-“I have give all yet…”

a. “I am a debtor both to Greeks and to __________________, both to wise and unwise.” Romans 1:14

B. Untilled Ground

a. “And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man’s foundation, but as it is written: ‘To whom He was not announced, they shall see; And those who have not heard shall understand.’” Romans 15:20-21

b. “And I will very gladly spend and be spent for your souls; though the more _______________ I love you, the less I am loved.” 2 Corinthians 12:15

c. “But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ…” Philippians 3:7-8

d. “Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.” 2 Timothy 2:10

C. Traveling Prayer

a. “My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you,….” Galatians 4:19

b. “Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving; meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains, that I may make it _____________, as I ought to speak. Colossians 4:2-4

c. “…praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints, and for, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.” Ephesians 6:18-20

Revival can only come to those expecting from God. Revivals are PRAYED DOWN, not sung down, nor shouted down. PRAYER IS THE ANSWER!

IV. He Guides

16. “However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He                       He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.”

Jn 16:13

VI. He Comforts

17. “But when the Helper (Comforter – KJV) comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth who proceeds from the Father, He will                          of Me.” Jn 15:26

18. “Nevertheless I tell the truth. It is to your                              that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper (Comforter – KJV) will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.” Jn 16:7

19. “Then the churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were edified. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were                                  .” Acts 9:31

VII. He Searches

20. “Search me, O God and know my heart; Try me and know my anxieties…” Ps 139:23

21. “But it is written: ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.’ But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the                                     of God.” 1 Cor. 2:9-10 (Is. 64:4)

VIII. He Intercedes

The Ministry of the Holy Spirit (Pt One)

New Bible study for August 2025

1. “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever – the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be____________. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.” Jn 14:15-18

Many would say that the book “The Acts of the Apostles” would be more rightly named “The Acts of the Holy Spirit”, as it traces many of the events that took place by and through the arrival of the Spirit of God as promised by Jesus and Old Testament prophesy. Mankind was changed forever at It’s appearance. Men were empowered by God with boldness, insight and gifts that could only come from God Himself.

2. “…Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts…” Zech 4:6b

of_____________________. " Eph 4:30

7. “Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a ___________________.” 2 Cor 1:21-22

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to ______________ all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’ Amen.” Matt 28:18-19

10. “Behold, I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all ___________of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Lk 10:19
