Bible Study for December 2024
Our world is a shaking place. There seem to be no more absolutes, what feels good or seems right is good enough for the moment. We’ll deal with tomorrow or the aftermath of these decisions only when we must. New Bible Study For December 2024
IV. God is Steadfast in His Eternal Purpose.
Creation is His:
18. “You alone are the Lord; You have made heaven, The heaven of heavens, with all their host, The earth and everything on it, The seas and all that is in them, and You them all. The host of heaven worships You.” Neh 9:6 (Job 26:7-14)In Redemption for Fallen Man:
19. “…knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.” 1 Pet 1:18-19
20. “He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.” 1 Pet 1:20-21
21. “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” 1 Jn 1:7
The Kind of God You Have is the Kind of Person You Will Be.
22. “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Cor 15:58
23. “Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Heb 13:7-8
24. “Do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it is good that the heart be established by grace, not with foods which have not profited those who have been occupied with them.” Heb 13:9
25. “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.” Js 1:5-8
God shall bring His Kingdom!
26. “How great are His signs, And how mighty His wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And His dominion is from generation to generation.” Dan 4:3
27. “And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.” Lk 1:33
God has conquered:
28. “He will not fail nor be discouraged, Till He has established justice in the earth; And the coastlands shall wait for His law.” Isaiah 42:4
29. “For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” Rom 14:17
30. “And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys to Hades and of Death.” Rev 1:17-18
V. God is Steadfast in His Promises.
Not one of His promises has ever failed:
31. “Blessed be the Lord, who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised. There has not one word of all His good promise, which He promised through His servant Moses.” 1 Ki 8:56
32. “Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.” Ps 119:89
33. “The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.” Is 40:8
34. “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” 2 Cor 1:20
Unbelievers and Doubters are saying two things about 2 Peter 3:3-9
1. This promise hasn’t happened yet.
2. God will not upset His Universe.
But they fail to perceive the latent warnings in Vs 8, 9 and 10.
35. “But, beloved, do not this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” 2 Pet 3:8
36. “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Pet 3:9
37. “But the Day of the Lord Will Come…” 2Pet 3:10a

The Church will never die but a church can die!

“The harvest is past, The summer is ended, And we are not saved.” Jer 8:20
