Lord,
In your Word, it says that if I have the faith at least the size of a mustard seed, I can move mountains. I now plant my little seed into the ground of your Word and water it with your truth. I believe it will grow from the warmth of your love so that I can move this mountain before me. I completely put my trust in you and this seed of faith to sow healing in every place where this cancer has taken root. Matthew 17:20-21
1. Where do I find the strength to go through this?
God will be your source of strength. He will uphold you through the many challenges that you face.
Isaiah 41:10
2. Why is this happening to me?
Painful and sorrowful things come to all, but the Word of God says you will never be alone. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Psalm 22:45, Deut. 31:6
3. Why do I feel alone?
The process of treatment and recovery is overwhelming and makes you feel set apart. Remember God will never leave you nor forsake you. Deut. 31:8
4. Am I Going to Die?
Only God knows what his plan is for your life. Deut. 31:6, John 11:25-26
5. Will I ever feel the same or better?
There will always be physical changes as a result of treatment (challenges) Our God is the God of the impossible to those who believe. There is nothing impossible with God. Psalm 51:10-12, Proverbs 3:7-8
6. Am I still a whole woman?
YES, YOU ARE! Matt 9:22, 1 Thess 4:23
7. Can I trust my doctor?
A second opinion is always an option and could be beneficial if time allows. ALWAYS ask God for wisdom. God gives wisdom abundantly and graciously when we ask. James 1:5
8. How can I tell my family?
It is always best to tell your family early. Be completely truthful so you don’t go through this by yourself. Ephesians 4:25
9. How do I not give up?
By asking God for strength. God’s help is both present and proven, ready and reliable. Psalm 46:1 & 5, Psalm 27:3, 1 Cor 15:58
10. How can I know God is real?
A personal testimony of the reality of God:
“Just before my first radiation treatment I was so overwhelmed, frightened, stressed, and felt so alone. As I lay on the table waiting for treatment to begin, I closed my eyes and asked the Lord, ‘Father, where are You?’ I could sense the Lord’s presence on my left side. In my mind’s eye, I could see him reach up with His right hand and put it on my cheek. I could feel the gentle pressure and the warmth of His hand. I heard Him say to me, ‘Daughter, I am here.’ Immediately, I felt a supernatural peace. So God is very real to me.”
Hebrews 11:6
